CONFIDENTIALITY

ProScribe Medical Transcription agrees that patient and client confidentiality are of utmost importance.  All client-related procedures and document management will conform to HIPAA regulations.  No hard-copy documents related to clients will be disposed of without first shredding said documents. ProScribe will create files and directories on computers in such a way as to prevent unauthorized viewing, deleting, or copying. Said computers will also be configured to prevent unauthorized use, and security devices will be employed to prevent theft of said computers.  No client-related documents shall be sent from a computer without a minimum of 128-bit encryption.  No patient or client names will be stored by ProScribe in any form of database for use after termination of a client contract.  Regular secure and encrypted backups of client work will be performed in order to ensure no loss of data.
